Financing Your JDM Import

Buying a JDM car shouldn't mean settling for a rigid loan. We work with lenders who understand classic and imported vehicles, so you can secure the right terms without the runaround.

Because Japanese imports often fall outside the criteria of conventional auto lenders — short VINs, older model years, agreed-value appraisals — we've vetted partners who specialize in exactly these situations. Whether you're financing a Skyline, a Land Cruiser, or a kei truck, the lenders below can help.

Specialty Classic & Collector Car Lenders

LightStream — a division of Truist Bank — offers unsecured loans with a fast, fully online application and same-day funding for qualified buyers. No vehicle restrictions on age or mileage, which makes it a strong fit for older JDM imports.

Collector Car Lending focuses exclusively on classic and collector vehicles. Their underwriters know the market, value vehicles based on condition rather than book figures, and offer extended terms tailored to enthusiast buyers.

J.J. Best Banc & Co. has financed classic and antique vehicles since 1993. They handle imports, project cars, and unconventional VINs that typical banks won't touch, with terms up to 84 months on qualifying vehicles.

National Banks & Credit Unions

USAA offers competitive auto loan rates to active-duty military, veterans, and their families. While USAA's standard auto loan applies to vehicles 10 years old and newer, members financing older JDM imports can apply through their personal loan product, which has no vehicle age restriction.

Navy Federal Credit Union serves military members, veterans, DoD employees, and their families. Navy Federal finances used vehicles regardless of age through its personal loan program and offers some of the most competitive rates available for members — a strong option for buyers who qualify for membership.

Bring Your Own Lender

Already have a relationship with a local bank or credit union? We're happy to work directly with them. Many community lenders will finance an imported vehicle once they have the seller's documentation, title, and a bill of sale — and we'll provide everything they need to close the loan smoothly.

Ginza JDM is not a lender and does not offer financing directly. The companies listed above are independent third parties; rates, terms, and approval criteria are set solely by each lender. We recommend comparing multiple offers before making a decision.
